    • Translation Editor

As one of two Translation Editors at the Oxonian Review, each fortnight I collated and wrote a foreword to a selection of students' poetic and artistic responses to a passage of Greek lyric, for a series which was born out of a translation group in the Oxford University Classics department. The group was modelled loosely on an ancient symposion: each participant shared, in turn, a response to a single Greek text; others listened, commented, asked questions, and reflected. This role involved helping with the processing of applications to the University of the West of England. I worked successfully in a team, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude towards applicants and their parents, including over the phone during the busy and stressful clearing process.
