Oscar was a team player from the moment he joined our team at Oh My Green. He has the ability to wear different hats, and have no issues with jumping in to support when help is needed. He has the characteristics of being a leader. With his collaborations with hiring managers, he made sure that expectations were clear, and that he build a relationship based on partnership. I believe this help build trust and accountability. Oscar genuinely cares about bringing great talents to Oh My Green. I have experience the care that Oscar shows his hires from the moment he takes that initial call to checking in with them throughout their journey at Oh My Green. But, it definitely goes beyond just bringing great talents. He values the relationships that he builds and ensures that anyone he collaborates with are taken care of. Though start up can be challenging, I always enjoy my partnerships with Oscar as he is very supportive, and optimistic. Especially during those difficult days. He know when to step up, and he also ensure that his peers voices are heard. I can always trust him to follow-through. I have nothing but positive things to say about Oscar, and I am appreciative to have a great person to partner with.

Oscar is a rockstar Talent Partner! As a mentor, your hope is that your sharings are understood and respected. With Oscar, he goes beyond grasping information. Out of every information you give him births creative ideas, project plan of implementation and execution. Such incredible work ethic and accountability. As a Talent Partner at a high growth start-up, it is challenging to manage the increasing number of requisitions as well as projects to build process to help scale the growth. Oscar did this with ease and without complaint. He can see the potential of the candidates he spoke with and genuinely wanted to help them even the company did not move forward with them. He offered his support and guidance anyway. He also has a way of balancing respectful feedback which sometimes means you have to push back. But because he was genuine in his partnerships and exhibited true collaboration, his hiring managers and his team trusted and respected his sharings. He is also very understanding and even through tough times, he is optimistic, supportive and kind.       Van Leeuwen Ice Cream started in a yellow truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes you feel good.Nowadays, people can spend so much time on what’s “healthy” they don’t stop to consider what’s healthy. As far as we’re concerned, happiness is healthiness.What could be happier than that magic combination of milk, cream, eggs, and cane sugar (or coconuts, cashews and oats for our vegan friends)? Yes, our ice cream has fat. And that’s okay. It’s good-good, not good-bad.Good is choice ingredients. Even if we have to go to Mount Etna to get them.Good is simple ingredients. If it’s tough to pronounce, it’s probably tough to digest.Good is harmonious ingredients. We seek to satisfy omnivores and vegans alike.This is our way. The good way. The Van Leeuwen way. Not just the best way to make ice cream, but to live.

      The Larchmont Tavern opened in 1933 with owner Michael Bruno greeting his patrons in a single room of nine tables. His wife, Raffaela, cooked the meals in her kitchen upstairs. The couple lived over the Tavern in a five room apartment with their eleven children. Two generations of the Bruno family were born in that apartment.
