  ▪ Integrated in the R&D HW team, worked on the development of telecommunications equipment for data transmission over optical networks during the full product life cycle (design, test, production and maintenance) featuring different functions (Line card Transponders, VOAs - Variable Optical Attenuators, DWDM – Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Filters, WSSs – Wavelength Selective Switches) and different data rates (ranging from hundreds of Mbps to 400Gbps and beyond). ▪ Responsible for maintenance of several functional units from mature products. The two main tasks of this role were: ▪ ▪ Troubleshoot of issues arising in the field, either caused by wrong system configuration or defects not detected during development phase. This task required the close work with costumer support team for fast and accurate resolution of problems and reduction of impact on costumer. ▪ ▪ Development and test of new features to be integrated in the product. Typically this is achieved through the release of a new SW load to the costumer after all the required integration tests passed. ▪ Product Technical Officer: Responsible for coordination of R&D related tasks to address PCNs (Product Change Notices) and PDNs (Product Discontinuation Notices) from part and component suppliers. The job required interaction with manufacturers, close cooperation with company global procurement and management of all internal R&D team tasks required to test and approve the PCN (or to find, test and approve a compatible part/component replacement in case of a PDN). ▪ Optical Interface Testing team contributor: Responsible for HW-related tests (electrical and host interface requirements, temperature tests,...) of all optical transceiver types and form-factors used on company portfolio (MSA300, SFPs, XFPs, CFPs, QSFPs...).
