  The functions of the Board of Examiners of Underground Pipeline Contractors are to: - Educate, examine and pass all persons who must be examined before they engage as County inspectors in underground utility pipeline contracting work. - To determine that an applicant has passed an examination graded and proctored by the Board. - To conduct hearings upon charges of violations by any underground utilities contractor. - To suspend or revoke the certificate of competency of any underground utility pipeline contractor found by the Board to have violated any of the provisions of the County ordinance. - To hear the appeal of any persons who may be aggrieved by any ruling or order of the inspector. - To satisfy itself as to the character and integrity of each applicant for a certificate of competency.
