While searching for a design consultancy to support my team with the industrial design of a digital controller for a new insulin delivery system, I got in touch with Oscar, whose designs I had seen during an exhibition in London some years ago. I had pretty short time-scales and he had a lean assignment process, quick response times and an open attitude towards adjustments of any sort. In less than a week we had an agreement on the table and after three more weeks we received three different propositions for the device - including aesthetic concepts, CAD models for prototyping purposes and 3D printed parts for dimensional verification. A document was also prepared with colours, materials and finishes specifications. Subsequently, Oscar's co-ordination of the prototypes production phase was also key to control both quality and time management. I am very pleased with how our collaboration was carried out. Oscar and I spend a good amount of time aligning our work and constantly discussing important aspects of the product. And in spite of the frequent changes, he always delivered. I really appreciated his supportive and forthcoming personality, and I look forward to further fruitful collaborations with Oscar and his team.

eSTI2 is a medical research project aiming to develop point of care testing devices for sexually transmitted infections, run by a consortium of leading UK Universities and funded by the European Union. As part of a small team I provided design input on all areas of the project that needed a strong user focus, which included developing both aesthetic designs and physical mechanisms. eSTI2 is a medical research project aiming to develop point of care testing devices for sexually transmitted infections, run by a consortium of leading UK Universities and funded by the European Union.
