Product Owner & Service Delivery Manager
-
Jan 2022 - Jan 2023
As a Product Owner , My work starts with user or customer interviewing , where I need to focus on finding the exact problem to be able to suggest one or more good solutions . The more the solution is simple ,costs less and provides a high value the more We recommend . I then have to prepare a BRD (Business Requirements Document) and get required stakeholders approvals . I then start to wear the Service Delivery hat , Start to follow up the solution execution where I use my technical skills to suggest different execution alternatives to the technical team . Finally , I have to validate the result through beta testing it with users . Our solution must be flexible enough to be adjusted and finalized . Finally , I enjoy the happy end with final releasing the version . Although this is not one of main responsibilities of my title , but I also participate in technical support for customers , as this feedback helps a lot . Show less

My company was a small software house , where I used to enjoy meeting new customers from different domains all the time . My work starts with using different analysis techniques to get the right problem , not just executing the requested solution by the customer . Analysis techniques varies from stakeholder interview ,active and passive observation to deep document analysis . I then have to suggest a solution , prepare a good mock-up / MVP to validate the elicited requirements and proposed solution . I then go back to my team and start planning with them how and when can we deliver the solution . I used to hire a technical manager , but in the same time ,as I have a good technical background & experience I used also to participate in some technical decisions , especially when it comes to something that can affect scalability . As we all know , in small start-ups You have to do many many irrelevant tasks.I used to enjoy being able to help any new team member who is working for me either directly in a technical way, or through just telling him what would I do if I was in his situation .
