I really enjoyed working with Orionis during his time at the Society. He was extremely responsive, helped with blast email targeting, and kept our chapter on track with meeting invites and membership outreach. As chapter officer volunteers, small things can sometimes slip through the cracks, but Orionis was a true professional and helped to ease the burden of our responsibilities. As you can tell, I was quite impressed with Orionis and was disappointed to hear that he was leaving the Society for purely selfish reasons. I have no doubt, however, that he will successful in whatever path he takes.

Under the supervision of the Director of External Relations, the National Membership Coordinator collaborates in the administration of the development and continual growth of the Membership program. • Manage cold leads (calls, emails, direct mail) to agencies to inform them of AFA membership opportunities. • Assist Communications in developing membership collateral for outreach purposes. • Deliver exceptional customer relations and support to AFA Members through the entire membership lifecycle by mail/email/phone/conference call/in-person meetings and assist with the execution of emails and other marketing efforts. • Liaise with member organizations and targeted schools to maintain consistent working relationships by orienting new members and with proven retention strategies. • Consistently inform members and AFA Teens of AFA services and benefits. • Perform research and outreach to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease among high school and college campuses. • Lead and expand initiatives with AFA teams and Campus initiatives such as the Raise Your Voice for Care College campaign across all markets nationally. • Execute department strategies to meet monthly benchmark goals to increase AFA’s Membership Program through membership prospecting and successful onboarding. • Maintain membership donor base integrity by managing the membership application process; accurately updating membership records and information; generating membership reports; and invoicing/following up with members to ensure membership renewals. • Grants management for AFA’s 5-cycle grant schedule: track and process grant applications, ensure grant compliance and requirements are met; grant distributions are sent out in accordance with the timeline, and grant applicant inquiries are answered promptly. • Work with other External Relations staff members to drive attendance to AFA events, specifically the Educating America Tour.
