My role as general English teacher for groups of multi-national adult students included teaching at all levels and creating materials relevant to the needs of each group. Other responsibilities included one to one teaching at all levels and covering a broad spectrum of language needs, some IELTS exam preparation and teaching groups of European teachers who came to refresh and re-invigorate their teaching skills while also practicing the language. I also began the process of revamping the existing courses and materials into a suite of digital lessons and materials for use with these groups. Show less

This was a state funded Professional Development Forum where English language primary and secondary teachers met to share ideas, knowledge and skills. I was invited to join in order to share my differing perspectives and experiences - at the time I was the only non-Spanish, non-state employed teacher present. I also delivered workshops to the larger province wide forums, including promotional events on behalf of Oxford University Press.
