THE COLIBRI STORY • HISTORY o Established in 2003, Colibri has rapidly risen from a niche industry into a world leader in advanced high-speed spindle technologies and solutions; specializing in the design and manufacture of compact, coolant-driven high speed machining (HSM) spindles - HSM Spin Jet; trade names SPINJET and Typhoon. The innovative, cost-saving coolant-driven technology with real-time wireless sensor/display unit, enables the cutting of machined parts with far greater speed and accuracy than ever before. o Oren Harpaz, Founder and Chairman of the Board: Oren brings with him vision, coupled with high-level industrial expertise; carrying on the proud Wertheimer family tradition that has brought true innovation to the metalworking industry. Founders and drivers of ISCAR Metalworking (currently part of the IMC Group), the Wertheimer’s have established ISCAR as a world-leading brand representing both innovation and success in the industry. Oren is fully engaged in doing the same for Colibri Spindles Ltd. • COOLANT-DRIVEN HIGH-SPEED SPINDLES - OUR EXCLUSIVE TECHNOLOGY o Features: High rotation speed enables high feed rate and reduced machining time Cutting tool dia. set according to the application Optimized cutting speed and real-time RPM monitoring High efficiency, precise and accurate table feed Up to 70% faster and more efficient compared to original machine spindle o Coolant-driven value proposition (time/money savings): The HSM Jet Spindle system uses the machine’s existing coolant or cutting fluid supply as a pressurized energy source (20 to 40 bars), rotating a turbine in the range of 40,000 to 60,000 RPMs. (regular spindle 10,000-12,000 RPMs). Utilizing coolant or cutting fluid as a resource freely available in the machine, eliminates the cost and hassle associated with introducing an outside power feed – air supply or electricity. Also helps prevent thermal shock to the cutting tool. Show less
