As part of this job team work was a very large factor. Communicating with colleagues was a very common part of the job. I worked very hard at the job despite turning out not being a desired role of mine I still went into work on time every day, only used my annual leave for holidays , got any work assigned to me completed on time and was only ever have to be told something once as I would consider myself a good listener. Not a very taxing job physically but focus was a key element to the job and is something I believe I kept throughout my time and ongoing time there Show less

    • Factory Worker

It was a very hard working job but I have to say I loved it. The company makes Refrigerator rooms and shelving I was mostly in the shelving department but that’s not to say I didn’t do a variety of other jobs around the factory. With the shelving it was all hand based work for building them and I was quiet quick at it once I got used to it. I always met the deadlines with shelves and got them out on time to go with the refrigerator room they were being fitted into. As part of this bit of the job I was trusted with expensive and possibly dangerous saws and drills to cut up the plastic used to make the shelves. I was always very cautious for the safety of me and anyone around me while doing so. The job also involved some heavy lifting of panels for the rooms while cutting them up on the big saw. Painting boards, cleaning the factory and also going on the road with the delivery team to fit the refrigerator rooms and shelves were other jobs I did as part of this employment. Show less

Very sociable job I loved interacting and chatting with customers I got on very well with them. My duties included serving drinks and snacks, lighting the stove, ensuring the bar was kept clean including bathrooms, closing off the till at nighttime and as I was trusted on my own in the bar by the owner with cash and everything left there I would have to lock up at night after a shift. I worked in this CoOp on a seasonal basis as a school student. The job duties included: Bringing bags of meal/cement/lime etc.. to the customers cars while they went in and paid. I was operating the forklift in my time there loading and unloading lorry’s. I was part of a team for a stocktake of the entire CoOp during the seasonal period so was here and did them all accurately. Painting surrounding factory walls, sweeping and keeping the yard clean are other duties that I did as part of the job also. Similarly to my role in Ryan Cleaning it was quiet a physical job that required a lot of moving and lifting. Show less
