Monitored financial status of 13 military dining facilities within the pacific region subsistence program, formulate and implement standard operating procedures, maintain liaison with Defense Logistics Agency and District Prime Vendors, and provide technical assistance in accordance with organizational policies and directives.Develop plans, policies, programs, doctrine, and standards for the management of the Marine Corps Forces Reserves Food Service Program under field and garrison conditions in support of procurement, feeding, receiving, and issuing of operational rations totaling in $14 million annually. Serving as the focal point for policy, direction, and coordinating all matters pertaining to food service, methodically managed an office of four Marines with an annual operating budget of 20 million dollars supporting over 160 Home Training Centers. Managed and overseen the ordering, tracking, and accounting of 3,700 subsistence requests totaling 53 million dollars.Managed and monitored Food Service Subsistence personnel in the performance of financial management, administration, procurement, warehouse operations, and inventory control. - Ensured required Quarterly Subsistence Financial Reports were submitted both timely and accurately, providing the direct link between the organization and the institution, for all subsistence funding.- Impressively managed the day-to-day functions of forecasting, budgeting, accounting, andupdating almost $70M worth of subsistence in support of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center food service and training mission. Identified "non-value added" steps, along with other inefficient procedures, in the rations request process. Through diligent efforts, changed the tedious, time consuming request process to a more efficient, standardized electronic form process. Effectively, changed a two to three hour process to one taking minutes, saving over 1,200 man-hours and $3.5G dollars worth of office supplies annually.
