This new program for faculty emphasizes three main aspects: training, recognition and openness. Consolidation of the communities around the OSTX in collaboration with the rectorates and the directors of institutions. The OSTX program is collaborating with the 11 Rectorates and a full representation of the Tunisian regions. OSTX succeeded in training +500 students and +150 professors from all regions and helped support +140 startups. The topic of this research aims to develop a network planning tool capable of integrating an existing network infrastructure with new resources and different distributions of demand. This research is about to implement a new model that manages a new adaptive planning model that optimizes the management and function of dynamic heterogeneous networks. Different mathematical models were created with different solution based mainly on heuristics (GA, TS, VNS,..). An initial implementation of the optimization algorithm is integrated and tested in INFORM Lab. This project was part of my master degree research and it's main goal is to propose an extension of the classical location area planning (LAP) problem in the wireless telephony system including additional objectives and constraints. The bi-objective location area planning (BOLAP) problem considers the minimisation of both distance costs between base transceiver stations and the base station controllers. A vector evaluated particle swarm optimisation (VEPSO) is then implemented to solve the… Show more This project was part of my master degree research and it's main goal is to propose an extension of the classical location area planning (LAP) problem in the wireless telephony system including additional objectives and constraints. The bi-objective location area planning (BOLAP) problem considers the minimisation of both distance costs between base transceiver stations and the base station controllers. A vector evaluated particle swarm optimisation (VEPSO) is then implemented to solve the bi-objective model. This heuristic operates in term of two swarms, each corresponding to one of the two objectives, and exchanging their best experience. A comparison of the proposed algorithm is performed with the statistical method being used by a major wireless telephone company. The empirical results show that the proposed approach dominates the operator's method on one hand, and that the BOLAP is an effective generalisation of the classical LAP model on the other hand.
