I had the pleasure of watching Shu Xuan grow and bloom as a SIM Student Toastmasters Club member. She has shown tremendous improvement and potential in her public speaking abilities. I remember her first speech was through a Zoom screen and 1 year later, she is speaking in front of an audience live. Her dedication towards personal development has propelled her to actively take up speaking roles during chapter meetings - such as Prepared Speaker, Evaluator, Table Topics Master and Toastmasters of the Day - and successfully fulfil Level 1 of Presentation Mystery Pathway. In addition, Shu Xuan is highly receptive to feedback and is always open to listening to advice to continuously improve her communication and public speaking skills. In March 2023, she clinched Champion in the inaugural Junior League Competition 2023. I believe her consistency, dedication to growth and learning as well as openness to feedback will be highly valuable and impactful for any organisation she works in or passion projects should she choose to pursue them.

Shu Xuan is a member of the SIM Weiqi club, who I recognise as a great contributor to the club. During my tenure as the club president, the club sought to increase its membership and she has contributed to it immensely in 2 ways: 1) her participation in the Student Involvement Drive as a club ambassador whereby she introduced the game of Weiqi to students. 2) her creation of videos posted on YouTube, featuring SIM Weiqi club. Those video content have raised awareness of the club, increased club membership and most importantly, raised the awareness of Weiqi game itself. Our club is grateful for her efforts!
