Fantastic individual and one of the best people I have ever come across in my life. Omar has a huge heart, personable, excellent teacher and trainer, well rounded, immensely strong, and would do anything for those close to him. I always considered myself a better person knowing Omar because of his limitless charisma, never say die attitude, and honor.

From early in my life, I found my life purpose of serving others. I have don't this in various capacities throughout my life. I have been fortunate to be in leadership roles through out my life. I was a captain on all my high school teams, which included basketball, volleyball, track and field, and football. I was honored to receive the United States Army - Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. I also served as a sergeant - drill instructor for the Los Angeles Police Explorers for four years training cadets for the program. I was fortunate to play intercollege basketball in college at UC Davis and Holy Names University. My college basketball career began concurrently with my strength & conditioning position at Holy Names University. I was an assistant for our women's basketball team while I trained our women's volleyball and men's soccer teams. I also served as an Associate Director of Athletics for 5.5 years at Holy Names University. In my duties as an Associate Director of Athletics I was fortunate to oversee sports information, game management and strength & conditioning. Furthermore, for 12 years I directed, with oversight by our Vice President of Student Affairs, our Experiential Learning Program (ELP) which started with 18 assistants on camps and in the 12th year we built it to 42 members. Members included 9 departments on campus (Athletics, Res Life, Student Affairs, Campus Ministry, Library, Center for Social Justice, Financial Aid, Admissions, and Marketing)I began my head coaching career in 2010, as Holy Names University began talks of transitioning from NAIA California Pacific Conference to NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference. In three years of full fledge membership, we have been fortunate to qualify for post season play. I am humbled to have won 1 national champions, 7 national tournament appearances, 7 conference tournament championships, 4 conference championships as a player, assistant coach, and head coach.
