During my time with TCL/Alcatel, I worked very closely with Omar. Despite being a multi-national, TCL MEA was an infant region that had no infrastructure nor systems in place when we joined. It was also taking very long for the global systems to be integrated to the region (almost 2 years) and before Omar joined, we had to do almost everything manually (Trade marketing budgets booking of funds, releasing payments, adjusting the budgets, etc...). Omar has done a remarkable job in creating an alternative system that acted as an interim solution till the global system was applied. Omar is very diligent with his work and knows his numbers to the dot. He is very involved with the brand team and offers valuable input and creative solutions when the team needs help. He is always willing to take on new challenges with a big smile on his face and more importantly, he consistently delivers on those challenges. He is also quite involved with the whole organization and offers voluntary periodical training to everyone. His training modules included finance for non-finance employees as he wanted everyone to be educated on how basic finance works and also system training whenever a new system was introduced. I am confident that Omar shall become a valuable asset in any company that hires him and will most definitely add value to any business he becomes responsible for.
