New circus and street arts programming and coproduction, circus school, cultural action. My main responsibility was to deal with all aspects of finance, accounting, administration, legal, HR and payrolls. As this position in performing Arts is broader than CFO, I also worked closely with the Director on all aspects of projects. I was a contact person for BOD, public funders and clients, professional network and partners, spectators and students, suppliers and troupes, employees, interns and… Show more New circus and street arts programming and coproduction, circus school, cultural action. As this position in performing Arts is broader than CFO, I also worked closely with the Director on all aspects of projects. I was a contact person for BOD, public funders and clients, professional network and partners, spectators and students, suppliers and troupes, employees, interns and volunteers. • Since the association was newly created I had to set up most processes, KPIs, softwares and tools • Thanks to activity development and a strict cost management, revenue went from €350K to €650K and profit was up every year, allowing for regular investments and building up over €150K own funds • By building a strong relationship with public funders (city, department, region, state services) and showing a rigorous grants management we proved to be a reliable partner and a key player in the area • In addition to theatre season and one-time projects, we held a street arts festival every 2 years with a €300K budget, 50+ shows and 10 000+ spectators. I was involved from beginning to end and managed 15+ volunteers over 2 days. • One personal project was the creation of a partnership with local businesses through circus team building, circus initiation for employees' kids and private events. It was a hard work of teammates and customers conviction, networking and crafting the team building program, but in the end it became a regular business • Working for a small business meant versatility : public and artists reception, setting up and taking down of performances, replacing circus teachers and technicians, website building, video editing, among others Show less New circus and street arts programming and coproduction, circus school, cultural action. Me and my friends dreamt of using a circus tent to bring culture everywhere, to everyone. So we organized concerts with bands we knew to fund and buy a tent, then we hired the tent and concerts to festivals and individuals. Eventually we settled in the countryside and programmed an annual theatre season and festival.
