I am working in two heath psychology research labs at UCI. 1. Mind-body Pathways to Well-being and Resilience Laboratory (MPWR Lab): MPWR lab is directed by Dr. Ilona S. Yim. I work on research related to biopsychosocial underpinnings of stress and health, women’s health, health disparities, and perinatal health. Here, I have gained global health research experience by working on data from two low- and middle-income countries. I have gained skills in conducting research from start to finish including: formatting research questions; data analysis of survey and biomedical data; conducting literature reviews; writing research publications; and dissemination of study findings at various professional conferences. I also schedule laboratory meetings, review grant proposals, and contribute website design, maintenance, and content writing.2. Riis Laboratory: Riss Laboratory is directed by Dr. Jenna Riis where I work on research related to stress physiology, maternal-child health, health disparities, and salivary bioscience. In addition to the previously mentioned skills, I have training in advanced analytic techniques such as multi-level modeling and structural equation modeling. I am familiar with the collection, storage, assay, and analysis and interpretation of salivary data across various analytes (e.g., immune markers, cortisol, alpha amylase). Show less
