Office Support Assistant
-
Apr 2020 - Nov 2021
I previously worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) School of Social Work as an Office Support Assistant, as a part of their collaboration with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). As an Office Support Assistant, I primarily worked with foster parents, licensing representatives, and adoption workers throughout the State of Illinois. I communicated with them via email and telephone to help register the foster parents for trainings they are required to complete in order to obtain or renew their foster parent license or be certified to adopt. I processed referral forms for foster parents’ registration into various trainings, such as PRIDE (Traditional/Unrelated and Home of Relative), Adoption Certification, etc. Also, I solely organized all aspects of the registration process for the new pilot training program, NTDC. As the lead of NTDC registration, I handled all registrations for the new pilot training program, created and maintained the NTDC cohort registration forms, ensured accurate up-to-date participant information, was a liaison responsible for communication between DCFS/UIUC and NTDC staff to ensure quality implementation of and accurate registration for the NTDC pilot training program, and resolved any issues or questions regarding an NTDC cohort. Additionally, I would also troubleshoot any training and/or login issues via email and telephone, such as password reset, incorrect internet browser use, technical issues with a training, participant never received their virtual training call-in or zoom information, etc. Before leaving the company in November, I was asked by my supervisor to train my coworker on my job responsibilities and to participate in the interview committee to hire a new employee for the Registration Unit.

Customer Service Associate and Trainer
-
Mar 2019 - Apr 2020
I formerly worked at CSC as a Customer Service Associate and Trainer on the filing team. As a part of the filing team, I worked on the UCC E-Recording team in which I submitted UCC1s and UCC3s for Self-Service and Full Service clients to numerous counties or Secretary of States throughout the U.S. I worked with a variety of programs, specifically iiRS, EP4/Ingeo, and MAX as well as Microsoft Office daily. In addition to my own customer service and filing work, I was the trainer for new employees for UCC E Recording in both the Self Service and Full Service processes. Additionally, I conducted training update meetings to discuss the trainees progress and next steps for training. I am excellent with organization, time management, multi-tasking, and communication with team members as evidenced through my experience training three new employees during the same time period. I also supervised UCC E Recording team members, monitored work flow, assigned work to team members, and assisted team members with any issues or problems.

Medical Scribe
-
Jan 2018 - Jul 2018
As a Medical Scribe, I was specially trained in cardiology, so I worked directly with a local cardiologist at the Springfield Clinic in an outpatient clinic setting. I sought to facilitate patient flow within the clinic to guarantee satisfaction and deliver effective patient care. Additionally, I was responsible for gathering all patient information during clinic visits and ensuring the accuracy of the patients’ electronic health record. In particular, I retrieved data for the physician to review, including labs, medical records, and cardiac diagnostic tests and procedures (such as Electrocardiograms, Echocardiograms, Left Heart Catheterizations, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts, etc.). I documented all patient information into the electronic health record, including chief complaint(s), diagnoses, treatment plan, prescriptions, and laboratory and diagnostic tests and orders. Also, I floor trained new medical scribes for working in cardiology. I have experience working with Allscripts.

Summer Data Anaylst Intern
-
Jun 2016 - Jul 2016
As a Summer Data Analyst Intern, a colleague and I researched behavioral health data analytics and quality measures to help the division create an online, computerized system for all of the state hospitals and facilities to use for their medical records. I created excel spreadsheets, developed pivot tables, and worked with various formulas in excel, including VLOOKUP. In addition, I visited state mental health hospitals and facilities where I observed treatment/therapy groups for patients. I also reviewed the forensic mental health files/cases and learned about the forensic mental health aspect of the division.
