During summer holidays, I gained valuable knowledge at a well known fabric company in Wakefield (Skopos), who specialise in soft furnishings for interiors. During the two weeks work placement I learned knowledgable skills in the textile industry and was given certain roles such as; developing a board of samples in colour order, I was then able to spot weaknesses in the different ranges of samples to find opportunities for the company to improve upon and develop their designs to fit every area in the market. Becoming familiar with their machinery and running errands for the managers were also vital parts of my role.
