Graduate Assistant, Bridging Disciplines Programs
-
Sep 2019 - May 2021
The Bridging Disciplines Programs offers sixteen interdisciplinary certificates to undergraduate students from all departments at UT Austin. Certificates are transcript-recognized and provide students the opportunity to explore topics such as Ethics and Leadership in Healthcare and Human Rights & Social Justice from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. As a Graduate Assistant, I help with outreach efforts and host a once weekly information session on the program requirements and application process for prospective students. I also grade and provide written feedback on student essays reflecting on internship and research experience related to their certificate coursework. Throughout the semester I help plan and facilitate workshops for students on how to search for internships and write research proposals. I also provide written feedback and meet one on one with prospective students about their applications to the program.
