Olivia is dynamic, professional and trustworthy when dealing with her clients.

In my position at NT Major Events, I was lucky enough to have worked with Olivia, who at the time was the Event Manager. Olivia exhibits strong interpersonal skills and a unique capacity for empathy, which enables the people around her to perform at a certain level. When we were transferred to NTG with the Arafura Games, Olivia became my direct report. She is one of those rare managers who naturally serves as an inspiring mentor for the whole staff. This ability to motivate a team to care about its project and be invested in the project’s success is crucial when producing and delivering an event. Though she’s never one to draw attention to herself, Olivia's positive attitude and affable nature are evident wherever she goes. An absolute privilege to have worked with her.

NT Major Events Company has the charter to attract, develop and support special events and to concentrate its support on the largest events available to the Northern Territory and those with the greatest growth potential. Significant events will be measured by their economic benefit, likely tourism value, media exposure and strategic social and cultural significance. My role encompasses strategic planning of events, liaising with Government, risk management, developing event plans, delivering events and human resources. Those events I have worked with include: 2014 3rd Asia Pacific Outgames 2009 Arafura Games 2010 & 2012 Alice Springs Masters Games 2008-2014 V8 Supercars, Hidden Valley 2010-2013 Australian Superbike Championships 2008-2014 BASSINTHEGRASS music festival 2010-2011 Heiniken Hottest 7's Rugby 2009-2012 NT Sports Awards 2012-2014 Finke Desert Race 2010-2013 MTB Enduro Mountain Bike event 2008-2009 Garma Fesitval 2008 Timor Sea Cup

I was transferred to Sport and Recreation to help lead the 2011 Arafura Games when it moved to a different NT Government department. This was an international multi sport event held every two years in Darwin. The 2011 Games had 4,500 participants from 49 countries, competing in 20 sports including four sports for athletes with a disability. Primarily my role included Workforce, Games Services and International liaison. I also advised on areas including Operations, Sport, Ceremonies, Media and Marketing and Sponsorship. Other events I worked on included: 2011 Oceania Pan Hellenic Games. Contract, marketing and event support of AFL, NRL, Super 14's and Cricket Australia events hosted in the Northern Territory.
