Commercial Underwriter
-
Mar 2015 - Mar 2017
As a Commercial Underwriter, I managed between 30-40 clients with ~$1 Billion in commitments. My clients ranged from small and local to large publicly traded companies. Industries included: retail, industrial, construction, non-for-profit, and New Market Tax Credit. During my tenure, I was responsible for structuring and underwriting loan transactions that achieved the Bank’s profitability goals, met the client’s unique needs, and diminished risk vulnerability. Additionally, I performed underwriting diligence, including industry and company research, that identified a borrower’s performance drivers, projected future performance and anticipated ability to repay debt, and assessed how stress cases impact the credit. All risk assessment was presented and defended to senior management that outlined an approach to mitigate credit, legal, regulatory, and other relevant risks. Show less
