Under the direction of Charles Hillman, the CBH lab explores the relationship between exercise and brain health through transversal studies primarily conducted with children. As an undergraduate research assistant, I prepared and cleaned EEG caps, conducted cognitive tasks on participants, and assisted in exercise tests. I completed my undergraduate thesis through the CBH lab on how exercise influences childhood creativity. As an intern at Cobblestone Therapy Group, I worked alongside one of the head occupational therapists in executing treatment plans for children who presented a wide range of disabilities. Besides learning a variety of therapeutic techniques, I also learned to recognize various diagnoses, established strong relationships with the children I interacted with, and even observed music and speech therapy sessions.
