Working as part of the Business Support Unit a team of 9 responsible for the receipt and various essential processing activities associated with Letters of Credit ensuring the timebound activities were met as required by the Bank. Duties included • Manual handling of documents, sorting and scanning to various areas of the Bank for further processing• Scrutiny of documents before entering details into appropriate Bank systems with accuracy being of paramount importance to avoid potential costly delays• Responsible for dispatch of Bank documents and their recording/tracking in addition to general correspondence pertaining to Letters of Credit with required cooperation between our area and postal services internal and external (e.g. DHL, Citysprint) often under pressure to meet deadlines • Dealing with multitude of queries by phone and email regarding the content and status of the work Ad Hoc project tasks:Assisted our Client Services Team by creating client user ID for over 1000 bank clients to the GEMS client contact database for improved client communication and experience. Held regular progress meetings with my Team Leader and representatives of Client Services Team.Assisted Cheque Clearing team by preparing and dispatching over 300 FSCS client letters as part of an annual FCA regulatory requirement and completed the task ahead of schedule.* Working at SCB is the highlight of my working life to date and one that I am hoping can continue in the future, if possible, given the financial challenges all businesses are facing this year
