Feb 2023 - Feb 2023
In February, I spent a week with Arden at their workshop ahead of the 2023 season. I spent my time assisting both their FRECA (Formula Regional) and GB3 mechanics with maintaining the trucks, cleaning and preparing the awning for the new year, and working as a team alongside my fellow work experience colleague to complete any tasks we were set to a very high standard and in a timely manner. I gained a great deal of confidence in my communication and organisation skills from this placement. In February, I spent a week with Arden at their workshop ahead of the 2023 season. Nov 2022 - Nov 2022
In November, I joined BM-Racing for the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone. I was with the team from Wednesday to Sunday to learn from and assist the mechanics in any way I could. My responsibilities included: cleaning bodywork, running tyres, refuelling the cars, basic spanner-checking, and updating pit boards. I was also involved in a full engine change and helped by preparing the car for the new engine by disconnecting and removing all attached components such as the exhaust manifold and carburettor Show less

Nov 2022 - Nov 2022
I was invited to assist the team at the workshop and during their Silverstone GB3 testing days where I learned about preparing the truck for events as well as running the cars upon arrival at the circuit. At the track, I assisted with pitstops in-between sessions, washing wheels, updating pit boards, cleaning body work and several other general tasks. After the 2-day test I was invited back to the workshop where I was taught how to mount, demount, and balance tyres in addition to organising the equipment in the trucks needed for testing: i.e., replenishing the consumables, stacking/securing tyres and toolboxes and loading the cars.
