Legal Assistant Paralegal
-
Aug 2016 - Sep 2018
Having officially taken the role of Legal Assistant in August of 2016 I worked part-time at Vanquis whilst completing my LPC/LL.M. I was responsible for maintaining the legal database and proofing contracts post-execution. I aided the senior lawyers with drafting, contractual reviews and also headed up the businesses legal responsibilities in relation to the implementation of GDPR, alongside a senior lawyer. I dealt mainly in Banking & Finance Law and had some exposure to Litigation.

Legal Intern
-
Nov 2015 - Aug 2016
I dealt mainly in Banking & Finance Law and had various administrative responsibilities whilst interning. Some of these included filing, drafting and aiding senior lawyers in the completion of contractual agreements in relation to the promotion of our cards in shopping centres nationwide. I endeavoured to always provide assistance to my colleagues to the best of my ability and hoped to become a valued member of the Legal team. Despite being on an initial three-month fixed-term contract, I had this renewed twice before being awarded with a permanent part-time role whilst I undertook the LPC, starting in September 2016. Junior Auditor

Jun 2015 - Sep 2015
As a junior auditor for the summer of 2015 i was sent on client jobs with colleagues in order to audit their accounts. I was responsible for the testing of the books and performing sales tests among others in order to determine whether any fraudulent activity had taken place. The experience was invaluable and extremely rewarding. I have learnt about how to interface with clientele successfully and subsequently have a valuable insight into accounting and finance. Supervisor
-
Sep 2012 - Jun 2015
Starting as a sales associate, I was promoted to Supervisor in late-2013. The new role allowed me to open and close the store, cash up the tills and manage one floor independently from my Manager. The responsibility of team leader gave me the responsibility to both direct and utilise my team as best as possible. These responsibilities helped me grow as a professional individual and allowed me to gain invaluable experience in a managerial position. Abilities such as time-efficiency, promptness and leadership were always required throughout the day. I aided the manager with the hiring of Christmas temporary staff, which allowed me to identify varied qualities in applicants that suited that of the business model. Show less
