I had to make time to recommend this human dynamo - Olga is an absolute star! She started off from humble beginnings in translation and has worked her way up to being one of the best the industry has to offer. Her passion is evident, but her commitment to work-life balance ensures that she puts quality first. I look forward to her future achievements!

I have known Olga (albeit virtually) for a while now, first from social media and more recently as a freelance translator. We worked together on a short but demanding project, as translating slogans requires more than language skills. And Olga delivered beyond expectations. Not only she has proven extremely professional, but she delivered quickly and, as I said, more than what was expected. On top of being a professional, she is one of the loveliest people I've had the pleasure of working with. I definitely look forward to working with her again. Thank you, Olga.

LinguaContact (formerly known as Alba Longa) is a quickly growing language and translation center. Besides translation, it provides language teaching, as well as training courses for translators and interpreters.Since 2014, we have successfully developed more than 20 different online courses for translators and interpreters. I take part in all stages of course planning and execution and do my best to expand the translation school further so it covers more specialty fields, more language pairs and provides more possibilities for linguists to learn and grow.Since 2019, we also host "The Contact" annual translation conference which is one of the most important events focusing exclusively on the needs of professional translators and interpreters in Russia and CIS.I also teach the Basic course for startup translators, Translation block. This course in taught regularly two times a year starting in September and in January. Show less

    • Freelance translator in the fields of marketing and education
      • Sep 2008 - Present

I’ve been a freelance translator since March 2007 and a registered individual entrepreneur since 2008. My education and my background gave me an opportunity to specialize in the following fields: marketing (first and foremost, I am a marketing translator), education (I am also a certified teacher, so if you want your education texts to have all the right terminology and sound right to the Russian ear, you've come to the right person!) and tourism. I occasionally work with general medical and health care texts and I have those texts proofread by a medical specialist. What’s my main goal? Well, you have probably heard the words of our poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko who said "Translation is like a woman. If it is beautiful, it is not faithful. If it is faithful, it is most certainly not beautiful." Well, I pursue both accuracy and beauty in my translation work. My average daily speed is about 2000 words, and I do my very best to provide you with texts that sound as if they were originally written in Russian. Show less

I helped to organise and host 36-hour non-stop webinar on the 25th and 26th of June, 2013. You can see the details at http://longestwebinar.com/ Besides, I managed a growing LinkedIn community of 1,000+ people called "Marketing for freelance translators" and sharp-end-training.ru Facebook page.
