Project Manager for Estonia at the Youth Exchange "Power Up"
-
Mar 2019 - Oct 2019
30 participants from 3 countries, Estonia, Armenia and Ireland, met at the youth exchange "Power Up". We have planned for 3 trips with the same group of young people, spending a week in each of 3 partner countries during May and June of 2019. Each organisation works with young people in mid to long term Programmes where the participants have high needs and limited opportunities. The exchanges would form the focal point of year long Programmes oflearning and reflection where young people are aiming to transform their lives. In aiming for anambitious and intensive Programme with a limited number of participants (10 from each country) our hope is that the young people will benefit significantly from working with the other groups, making friendships and building relationships that they may not have elsewhere in their lives. 3 main objectives: 1. Empower young people to develop social skills through the process of co-designing, planning and implementing an Exchange. 2. Change perspectives and paradigms through working and living with other cultures. 3. Develop practical applications of learnings with the young people so that they have real power and voice over their futures. Show less
