My tasks include data preparation, pipelining, curation, management, acceptance testing of climate action data portal, creation of tools to automate data related processes within the team, support initiatives in their data reporting efforts to the UNFCCC, creation of technical documents and so on.

  For the United Nations Climate Change (Actions and Initiatives) website (https://climateaction.unfccc.int/), multiple data providers collect and provide data to the United Nations from the world over. Such data come in different formats and quality levels. I extract the data using VBA Macros in Excel or Stata code in Stata, clean it with either, deduplicate it against existing Database and against self with either, create a fully detailed and interactive dashboard in excel using a combination of VBA (macros, functions) and formulas. This dashboard mirrors the numbers on the entire site as well as further calculations for analysis and verification purposes.

I continue to learn myself as I teach the student and the rigours of the work place are part of the benefits I am getting out of the experience.
