During their time at Fireplace Games, Oko has not only delivered outstanding animation, brimming with character, humor, and physicality, but has also been an excellent team player, eager to lend an ear and a helping hand to those in need. I started the project with a rudimentary understanding of swordplay and stage-fencing, and I ended up writing several, if not most, of our game’s dialogues, which meant Oko and I exchanged weekly both on in-game and ‘story’ animations. Whether given broad strokes & free reign or a detailed brief chock full of references and reqeusts, Oko’s craft has delighted me and the team again and again with their understanding of both action and comedy, and with their efficiency. They’ve been one of the smoothest and most insightful remote-work colleagues I’ve ever had the pleasure to collaborate with. If you are looking for a talented animator whose heart shows both through their work and what they bring to company culture, look no further.

I was able to work with Oko during our time together at Fireplace Games, for the development of En Garde!. Oko is really easy to talk with, very receptive to feedback and ready to give it as well when asked, meaning that the dialogue in the team was always flowing and it ensured the work done fitted well with the rest of the game. Watching En Garde!’s many characters develop their personalities via the different animations, each with their own quirks and timings was such a joy, and brought a lot of life to the overall project. I will forever be impressed by how much detail Oko can fit in a single animation, and I am glad I got to see that sort of work first hand. All in all, I would be glad to work together again, but in the meantime, I highly recommend Oko to any teams that would need a skilled Animator!

I was in charge of rigging, animating and exporting a variety of characters and weapons for different games (Go All out, Madness Beverage...) published by Blue Sunset Games. I learned a lot there, especially rigging in Maya. The team was very welcoming and I am very grateful for the experience!
