The PPBE SME provides subject matter expertise in support of the US Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G8, Force Development Directorate supporting the Army PPBE process and POM planning across all components of… Show more Army PPBE (Planning Programming Budgeting Execution) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will function as a member of the AE2S (Army Equipping Enterprise System) Program to support the more than $30 Billion in Army system programming and execution decisions over the POM (Program Objective Memorandum). The PPBE SME provides subject matter expertise in support of the US Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G8, Force Development Directorate supporting the Army PPBE process and POM planning across all components of the Army. The Army PPBE SME provides analysis of physical Army OSD RMD (Resource Management Decisions), and Major Budget Issue (MBI) documents, identifies impact of related issues and provides analysis and recommendations on proposed concept plans. Additionally, the Army PPBE SME studies the operating environment of the Army POM build process, captures system functional requirements and formulates AE2S program solutions to support optimal financial planning of the Army budget. In this position you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in providing program management support services for the Equipping Program Evaluation Group (EE PEG). Generates written and or verbal guidelines to interpret and apply broadly stated planning, programming, and budgeting guidelines. Prepares programming documentation for division submissions to President's Budget submission, the Five-Year Defense Plan (FYDP). Provides advice on time-phasing of planning actions along with acquisition management actions. Develops and presents written and oral presentations. Technical Responsibilities: - Function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting business process analysis so that the Army continues to meet the future financial, equipping and force development objectives. - Performs gap analysis of client business processes and AE2S program capabilities.
