He also participated in the development of the Power and Utility Reporting Protocol with CCAR and the Electric Power Sector Protocol with The Climate Registry. Solar: Lead and later supervised efforts on solar forecasting validation through a 66-station solar monitoring station network deployment, along with evaluating solar variability and variability forecasting. He has worked on PV performance monitoring for SMUD’s fleet of 1,400+ PV systems for 6 years, including the development of performance indexing software. He currently works on solar R&D, commercial and residential solar mapping tools including the SMUD Solarmap, solar resource monitoring and assessment, and utility scale solar evaluation for meeting SMUD’s Renewable Portfolio Standards.
