During my time at the Houston Methodist Summer Undergraduate Research Internship, I had the privilege of working with the technology operations team. As an intern, I actively participated in various tasks and projects, primarily focused on providing IT support for medical residents. I played a key role in the onboarding process, where I helped set up and configure computers, ensuring they were equipped with the necessary software and tools. Additionally, I assisted medical residents with troubleshooting software issues and provided prompt resolutions to ensure their smooth workflow. I also had the responsibility of managing the ticketing system, efficiently addressing technical problems and ensuring timely responses to user inquiries. This valuable experience not only honed my technical skills but also solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in Cybersecurity, where I can use my expertise to safeguard critical systems and protect sensitive data in the healthcare industry.
