      I attained a thorough understanding of the principles of cGMP compliance and cleanroom practices. Some of my contributions include appropriate maintenance of ‘in-operation’ production facilities and equipment e.g. cleaning & sanitization, equipment monitoring, and pH and conductivity checks, preparation of items for steam sterilization, and kitting of materials from the warehouse to the cleanroom according to the respective processes and suites. I was also allowed to observe visual inspection of final products, giving me a greater insight into the production process. The main technical skills I have gained from this internship are the operation and handling of equipment such as autoclaves, BSCs, conductivity meters, and pH indicators. I am also trained on the gowning procedures and requirements in the cleanroom. Additionally, I became comfortable in collaborating with others and better at communicating my views. I managed to step out of my comfort zone and mustered the courage to introduce ideas during meetings. The many hours contributed to data mining have allowed me to develop a keen eye for detail and be familiar with using Excel to represent data in charts and graphs while also looking for anomalies or correlations; making sense of data.
