I had the privilege of returning to my ICU background as I joined the critical care team at Littleton Adventist Hospital as a travel nurse. I specialized in Neuro, Trauma, and Medical patients, managing ventricular drains and immediate post-op Neuro and Trauma patients including craniotomies and cerebral resections. This team's passion for high quality, compassionate care had me feeling right at home. This care included acute stroke and cardiac care pre- and post- intervention. Inova System's Emergency Department in Fair Oaks, Virginia welcomed me as a temporary contract nurse for a few months in 2017. This incredible team had a short-term need for a travel nurse with pediatric emergency nursing expertise while they opened the doors for their brand new Pediatric Emergency Department. My PALS and ENPC certifications along with my experience caring for acutely ill children allowed me serve the Fair Oaks community via their 8 bed pediatric suite added to their 36-bed Level 2 stroke and chest pain adult emergency services.
