      Currently an Accounts Administrator since the 1st October 2015. A well known New Zealand footwear retail brand including Overland, Mi Piaci and Deuce. My main role is assisting accounts payable using the accounting system Navision. Duties include issuing a PO for all invoices, entering invoices once approved by management, making weekly invoice payments to locals and Australia every Friday, making payments for international invoices every Thursday (including generating new vendors on internet banking when necessary), making payments for the 20th and also end of month. Doing daily bank reconciliation, preparing a cash variance report each month for AU stores in Melbourne, reconcile vendor accounts monthly, creating upload sheets for bigger invoices. Additionally, I do chasing invoices and statements, checking gift cards once they are issued, assist with preparing Balance Sheet at months end for our smaller company in Australia, assisting finance with tasks including laminating and binding balance for both countries at months end, preparing and emailing remittances, clearing sales accounts. Preparing Sales Report for malls at months end, investigate when fraud transactions occur. Depositing cheques when required. Familiar with journaling expenses.       I was employed as a junior accounting assistant for Frigstad, an oil and gas company in New Plymouth. We run the rig Kan Tan IV and our head office is based in Singapore. This job mainly involves the accounts payable role. We receive a large amount of invoices daily and the ERP system we use to process our invoices include Esker and Microsoft Dynamic Navision. I thoroughly enjoy my role here and I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in this position. Responsibilities include processing invoices, matching and coding invoices, scanning, filing, sending invoices to upper management for payment approvals, journal and general ledgers, preparing batches and making payments for both local and international (multi currencies) invoices, sending out remittances, deal with bankers and suppliers when required, data entry, updating a large purchase order spreadsheet and assist with many other ad hoc accounts tasks. Additionally, I have also covered receptionist/administrator position when she has been away and been completing her work as well as mine when she resigned early January. Hence, I have also gained good skills in the area of customer service and administration. Unfortunately this is contract based and our drilling program ended on the 31st January 2015. Show less
