As a volunteer at Support Through Court, I am currently acting as one of the faces of the company. As a charity, I have been able to assist those who cannot afford legal assistance, through administrative, emotional and legal help. I attend court hearings with clients, interview clients via face-to-face appointments & telephone consultations, write witness and position statements with clients, and most importantly, provide clients with emotional & physical support. I started my business as an eyelash technician in the midst of the 2021 coronavirus pandemic. Although challenging, I have managed to build a successful business alongside my law studies, in which I now have a consistent clientele and almost 1,000 followers on Instagram. My key roles include, but are not limited to: managing client expectations, performing beautiful eyelash sets tailored to my clients wants and needs, dealing with finances and managing stock, ensuring social media accounts are up to date, dealing with difficult clients, problem-solving within the workplace, organising my schedule and booking systems, and building long-lasting client relationships. I first discovered my love for the law whilst shadowing the lawyers at Matwala Vyas LLP. During my time here, I was introduced to the legal world, through reading over cases, becoming familiar with legal knowledge, briefly meeting clients and also attending court.
