I met Nuno whilst we were working together for a workshop. He was a very engaging speaker and authentic. He is always there to help with an open heart by listening and understanding the problems. You can feel that he truly cares about creating and leaving a positive impact on society/environment. I would recommend working/engaging with him! There is always something good out of it!

I met Nuno at the University of Porto when we had the opportunity to work on a University x Society approach through developing a project carried out by master degree students in Design for CAIS Recicla, the institution coordinated by him at the time. His follow-up was impeccable, and his contribution to student learning was immeasurable. The enthusiasm with which he shared all his knowledge about social entrepreneurship and his concern for the positive impact on people's lives was inspiring, in addition to being a charming person personally! I strongly recommend your work.

      • Jun 2022 - Present

In 2019, the EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health published the first set of global scientific targets for healthy diets and set forth six environmental boundaries for food production, flagging the disproportionately large impact that food has on planetary boundaries. The Commission showed that feeding 10 billion people a healthy diet within safe planetary boundaries by 2050 is both possible and necessary. Building on the findings of the first publication, EAT-Lancet 2.0 will accelerate progress and contribute to the 2030 agenda by including several new elements, such as a greater focus on diversity and the adaptation of regional and local diets, strengthened diversity in the composition of the Commission and a new focus on food justice and social food system goals. EAT-Lancet 2.0, due to report in 2024, will be co-chaired by Walter Willett (Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health), Johan Rockström (Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research), and Shakuntala Thilsted (Global Lead, Nutrition and Public Health, WorldFish CGIAR, 2021 World Food Prize Laureate). The Commission is made up of 23 Commissioners from 19 countries, https://eatforum.org/eat-lancet-commission/eat-lancet-commission-2-0/ Show less
