A typical day involves financial analysis, software development, data analysis, relationship management with dozens of clients, as well as process optimization studies. Alongside the financial analysis that I conduct, I develop software with Python and SQL. I employ Tableau and R for data visualization and analysis. I have pitched and implemented the following projects in addition to the core responsibilities of my position: Analysis and visualization of financial data trends utilizing Tableau and Python to guide project goals and priorities. Developed and implemented invoice automation software with Python, SQL, JavaScript, and PowerQuery, saving 50 labor hours of combined labor per month, drastically reducing invoicing errors, and freeing up time for granular improvements to other parts of the invoicing process, including outreach to convince licensees to receive invoices electronically, further reducing distribution times. Developed Tableau workbook for subject matter experts to quickly audit their portfolios for over-billing and under-billing of patent expenses, improving accuracy and reducing processing times by a few hours on average. Developed an end-user script with Python and SQL to digitize and automate the previously manual process of classifying received licensee royalty reports, uploading to an off-site document silo, and distributing reports to subject matter experts based upon information the end-user enters into the internal database. Collaborated with Lead Trademark Officer to analyze aggregate trademark royalties over the last 5 years for trends, Helped identify an inflection point in ideal royalty rates, influencing how the department will adjust its royalty rates in the coming years. Regularly investigate financial discrepancies in reporting and payment amongst regular accounting and data-entry responsibilities. Show less

Research Associate - Countering Violent Extremism
-
Sep 2018 - Mar 2020
Conducted secondary research and fact-checking searches using open source intelligence tools across social media, public ownership, criminal and medical histories, and other records to establish a robust, psychological profile consisting of 63 individual data points for over one hundred extremist individuals in the ISIS and White Nationalism spaces. Performed regression analysis on aggregated qualitative dataset to discover trends and quantitatively reinforce the psychological model core to the ‘MPower Project’s approach. Co-authored a case study on the “ISIS Bride”, Hoda Muthana, which analyzed the key aspects of her upbringing and radicalization in light of the NGO’s core psychological model; found predictive ability in the model when tested on Muthana’s data points.
