I've known Laura for more than ten years when she was the Director of IETF Meetings and Events for Association Management Solutions and I was the IETF Administrative Director. In that capacity Laura: a. Identified and qualified potential IETF meeting and retreat venues and hotels; b. Negotiated and drafted IETF contracts for meeting and retreat venues and hotels; and c. Advised the IAOC Meetings Committee and the Meeting Venue Selection Working Group. Laura is a professional - fastidious, responsive, attentive to detail, easy to work with, and timely. She could always be counted on to give thoughtful and candid advice. She has excellent people and communication skills, a must for this position. The IETF conducts three meetings a year, one each in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, with typical attendance of more than 1,000 from sixty countries. Each region, each hotel, each contract required detailed and patient negotiation. On average there would be three hotel contracts for each meeting, for one in South America, there were ten. Each meeting required space, power, Internet, AV, and food and beverage detailed negotiations. On average there would be 125 sessions for these weekly meetings. Laura's work was exceptional. I am grateful for and pleased to publicly commend Laura for her performance.

I was very fortunate to work for Laura for nine years, she was one of the best bosses I’ve had. Laura has excellent leadership skills, treats everyone with respect and is interested in employees’ professional growth. Laura has a knack for organizing efforts across multiple states and with clients around the globe. She is meticulous, detail oriented, has great people skills to go along with her legal and financial expertise and is highly effective at dealing with difficult situations.
