My career started at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, then National Botanical Institute ( NBI) presently South African National Biodiversity Institute(SANBI). I started as a horticultural student. After graduation I joined the Kirstenbosch Outreach Greening Programme as an Intern. A year later, I was appointed as a horticulturist in the Botanical Garden, responsible for the Trees& Shrubs Collection in the nursery , the Arboretum and the Medicinal Plants Garden which later developed into Useful Plants Garden. I joined the City of Cape Town in 2008 as Horticultural Technician responsible for the development of Jack Muller Park. Presently, Recreation & Parks, Horticultural Technician responsible for the Capital Projects in area 3 based in Parow.
