This job was taken on in a part time capacity for eight months during the given period. During this period several of the responsibilities that were designated to me included: - Ensuring that customers were satisfied with the products and services that they were receiving. - Ensuring that the quality of goods supplied to customers and clients were of the desired quality. - Recommending suitable products to customers. - Monitoring and collecting the delivery of supplies to and from the store. - Ensuring all stock was accounted for. Within the period that I worked at this company, I familiarized myself the processes each transaction involved using this knowledge I identified several factors that impacted the effectiveness and productivity of the store and suggested several interventions to improve the flow of sales. These interventions, although small proved helpful to the functioning of the store and allowed the store to function more effectively. The nature of these interventions was based on the work environment and focused on the improvement of customer service, as within that particular environment and industry the customer's satisfaction is priority. Some of the interventions introduced included: - The designation of people to specific roles. Doing this allowed each employee to focus more on one area of the store, in which they would be able to more effectively operate instead of being less effective and having to deal with the entire store. - This designation of roles required a separation of the store into more specific territories. This was accomplished with the help of the store manager, however the designation of zones meant that the items in the store had to be restructured, as a result major restructures were foregone.
