    • Youth Outreach Coordinator / Social Media Specialist
      • Dec 2009 - Dec 2013

Portfolio included managing social media (accounts: @ConnectUSA - at the time this account had the largest number of followers among all of the US Embassy Tokyo's SNS accounts.) which was eventually handed over to the Press Section. Also launching a first-ever one stop shop website called ConnectUSA in 2010, consolidating all the cultural and educational programs, event info, and study abroad info. The site was later merged to AmeicanCenterJapan.jp. The embassy’s character, TOM the jellybean, was created with my ideas about eight years ago. In addition to the social media engagement, I myself used to develop, organize, and implement programs for Japanese high school and university students. These programs include monthly America Dialogue (Amelog) series ,where American experts in subject matters gave lectures and workshop in intermediate-level English, and the Embassy Academy, where selected university students participated in 6-month-long discussions on various international relations with U.S. diplomats.Awards: - Meritorious Honor Award for creating the ConnectUSA website - Honor Award for Show less
