As President of Interfaith Dialogue at the University of Chicago, I ran an organization that hosted discussions on religion and presented guest speakers. Adjunct Faculty in Religion
-
Feb 2012 - Jan 2014
Carthage College students were able to fulfill their religion requirement by studying Norse religion in the class I designed and taught. The course spanned a 4,000-year period while covering ancient religious traditions and modern Ásatrú. While at Carthage, I also was the founder and faculty advisor of the Tolkien Society; it focused not only on J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy works, but on the subjects that formed the background to his writing – including Old English literature, Old Norse literature, religious studies, poetry, fairy tale, folklore, myth and theology.
