I met Norman at a Power Breakfast Networking event hosted by Immigrant Services Calgary. I was delighted by his real world, straight forward approach to finding the best IT candidates for his clients. I asked him to speak with my ISC class, IT professionals who are seeking Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills. (ALES program). Norman was an engaging speaker, who gave real life, truthful responses to some hard questions from my participants who are IT professionals trained outside of Canada. I highly recommend Norman and his company BitWide to find your next IT professional.

Norman was instrumental in helping me find and hire four remote based Volunteer Coordinators to complete my amazing team. The Volunteer Coordinator role at Bethany was ever-evolving and complex. Norman crafted a position that clearly identified the hard-to-define critical elements of the position while capturing and articulating the essence of volunteer management. He was with me for every step of the hiring process for each new hire. He always took the time to answer my questions, and provide feedback and suggestions. Norman's greatest talent is his ability to extract critical information from applicants, in a short amount of time, expediting the hiring process. I was continually amazed at how fast we could find and hire the perfect candidate. He made a potentially time-consuming process, easy, and enjoyable. I now have a better understanding of the HR role and functions after watching Norman work with different teams at Bethany. I would gladly work with Norman again!

Norman and I met doing volunteer work and we became colleagues and then friends. He has many strengths - most notably his ability to stay calm when things are not going well. He helps others see what is really important in a situation and resolve the issue. That said, Norman also knows when to ask for help and guidance. Combined these two traits make him an exceptional leader - and even better friend.
