During my span with Abacus Travel Systems, I had successfully arrest and increased its declining market-share from 49% to 56% point as well as reduced its travel agency financial incentive pay-out by at least 45% through creative financial incentive package and travel products. The local suppliers (airlines, hotels, car rental and etc.) and travel agents recognized me as a hands-on leader that works toward a mutually beneficial business partnership agreement.

Over my career span in Abacus International, I successfully arrest the declining market-share for markets including Hong Kong and Taiwan from 57% and 61% point respectively when I took over the markets in March 2002 and grew the respective markets to 67% and 82% market-share respectively in 2012. The two markets were recognized as the leading GDS provider when I resigned in 2012. Hong Kong and Taiwan were the top 2 primary markets of Abacus International contributing over USD 24Million and USD 40Million annual segment revenue per annum respectively. Hong Kong and Taiwan were also the 2 Abacus markets with the lowest average per segment incentive pay-out compared against the other Abacus markets. I was recognized by the suppliers (airlines, hotels, car rental and etc.) and travel agents as a hands-on leader that supports mutually beneficial business partnership agreement. I managed the financial budget of the respective markets including Marketing, Financial Incentive, Market Motivation Bonus to continue to defend, grow and enhance the respective market-share and client base. I also lead strategic projects including Farrington-American Express GlobalMax migration project, GDS Migration Project, Abacus Hotel Projects and Abacus Partnership forums. In July 2011, I was handpicked by the Chairman of Abacus Travel Systems-Singapore to arrest its continued declining market-share as well as to stabilize the local company’s high staff turnover. It was initially agreed that I will be seconded from August 2011 for 2 years. However, in early February 2012, Abacus Travel Systems offered a direct employment agreement which I accepted.
