  During my employment at AVL I had the chance to work on a fascinating and complex case study together with the hybrid calibration department in Graz. Our goal was to determine how adjusting certain hybrid vehicle parameters affects the driveability and the efficiency of a hybrid electric vehicle. My task task involved the design, implementation and optimization of a rule-based hybrid vehicle controller in a SiL environment, using Matlab/Simulink as well as powertrain and vehicle dynamics simulation SW.
