All TAP interns spend part of their time working for a local non-profit agency in Winston-Salem, and part of their time working in the ministries of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. For my non-profit placement, I worked for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, a regional Feeding America affiliated food bank that works to fight hunger and malnutrition over its 18 county area. For my work with St. Timothy's, I assisted with the youth group and the homeless ministries of the church, including working as an overnight monitor for the temporary winter homeless shelter at St. Tim's.
