  Maverakis Lab Research focused on creation of a tunable hydrogel for treatment of chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, using mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Project involved screening and identifying peptides that interact with specific integrin surface receptors on MSCs. Developed an assay to screen multiple peptides at once, decreasing time spent on the timely screening process.
