Within Fans and Compressors team at Rolls-Royce, I was working on the development of the next-generation jet engine. I developed a data analysis tool focused on feature engineering with the aim to build predictive models and derive valuable insights from rig test measurements. • Engaged with the Technical Authority to define software requirements. • The analysis code processes raw test data from rig test measurements and performs advanced feature engineering. The code is written in Python and uses a variety of libraries including Pandas, Numpy and Scipy. Rigorous version control of the code was maintained via Git software. • Improved the quality of sensor data by performing data cleaning through anomaly detection & time‑series analysis. Enhanced code reliability by automating the handling of faulty measurements. • Automated data visualisation reports to monitor the test results and inspect the data quality. • Realised the full potential of the data by creating new features using an optimisation algorithm.
